Well Mommy, your heart and thinking processes are right where they should be. You are wise to think that way because babies do hit your wallet and what have you, but honestly? As long as you have a steady income and a place to live, you will be just fine. All young families who aren't from big money families start out just like you. Don't worry. You will have plenty of love and the rest will come as your family grows. Have a baby! Enjoy. You don't have to have a lot of money, just a lot of love.

If you sat and worked out how much money it would cost to bring up a child you would never have one. I remember being scared about finances when we first started a family but one way or another you get by. Money truly isn't the most important thing. Perhaps you should question if there are other factors stopping you from committing to starting a family.

Children almost never come at the ideal time. They come just about anytime they want to.... whether you are prepared or not. I suppose for everyone involved... you should be financially stable enough that your family could get along on just your husbands salary for at least a few months. Remember, diapers, formula, clothes, doctor expenses are really intense for the first year or so. My wife and I waited until we were a little older, more mature, more settled and financially secure before we even thought about children. What's the hurry??

We had no money saved ( I was 19y he was 25yr)we just used what we had which was husbands paycheck. If you start now buying things, it is way easier when you become pregannt you will have most everything you need instead of thinking you need to buy it all when your pregnant... If people look at it when I have enough money I will have a kid to be honest you will never have enough money something will always come up...
If you two want a baby bad enough start trying, God doesnt give you something he doesnt think you can handle..

That's very sensible of you! I can't give you an exact amount but from what I've seen kids are nice and all but they also require a lot of money. So before making this step you should be comfortable with all the aspects, including the financial one.

That is what is wrong with society...worried about things...there is never a good time to have kids...or rather any time is a good time to have kids...I have 10 and only one income. Two are in university and the others are very happy. Change your view quickly on what you think kids need in life...they only need loving parents to turn into good citizens.

It shows your responsible just asking the question. Money is important but I wouldn't trade any of my kids for all the money in the world. Kids aren't cheap entertainment but their by far the best My wife and I wasted 6 years thinking the same way you are. Boy were we dumb The best things in life can't be bought. the best things in life are gifts from God. GET-R-DONE

It isn't crazy. You want what's best for your child. If you are working and need your salary for monthly expenses you might want to save up the equivalent of several months salary if you want to stay home a while after giving birth. Good luck.

You need lots of money. Money for its food, diapers, and comfies (like blankets, binkies, animals). You dont know what your baby will want until you've been around it for about 2 or 3 weeks. So you'll be buying lots of stuff that it might or might not need.
