Find a pastor from your local church. They offer counsiling for free and many are very well trained in the area.
Also, find some self help books about the topics in which you struggle.
I went through a pretty tough childhood myself and found that self help books were great, but they could never replace what Jesus Christ did for me.
I encourage you to read the Bible and asked God to help you.

First most people did not have a great childhood. Trust me I had a VERY bad one. I have never seeked help for it though. I just came to realize that heck that was then and now it is my turn to make my adulthood the best. I am raising my kids the opposite of what I was raised. Life is short try to stop thinking about what the bad things were and start thinking of what there is out there for you now. If this doesn't work then look for some free support groups, I know there are some free ones online. Good luck

Terrible childhood sounds enveloping or cacooning...Alot of people have a bad childhood or events in their growing years that build them and scar them. Hopefully you can put the bad ideas in a box and shut it tight and bury it; the good events write about so you can have memories that may help heal. Show me someone who says they had a perfect childhood and I bet you could come up with some type of scars being it through the school years, or a bully cousin or even getting yelled at...Look for good things to do like volunteer or help an older person with some project...The first time in forty years my mom's block had a block picnic...Some good times with lots of laughter, some memories, lots of food...The holidays are comming, think of a short evening thing, maybe even a progressive supper...

There are resources that where u can get services on a sliding scale fee- Look in your yellow pages for mental health or behavior health. You can even call the high price places and tell them your $ situation. They may be willing to lend a hand. Good luck to you. One place to start is by calling Catholic Charites, or sometimes abuse shelters have a listing or Planned Parenthood could also offer resources.

talk to people. Your friends, family members you still like, its cathartic. Don't let it ruin your life. You must, by all means, have a positive self image. You have to find ways to realise that you are a valued, wonderful person. Have it out with whoever failed you, they're probably unhappy people. Try to get a holistic understanding of what caused your grief, for example, what happened to that person that made them the way they are? When you understand them better, you'll realise why they are like that, and it won't affect you so much. Good luck

Maybe just talk to friends in a group and you can all tell about troubles. And after some one shares everyone tries to help. When i am sad or down i just ask my best friend Meg. we share with each other what we feel and it makes me and her feel better.
I hope you have a better life :) i will pray for you OH praying also works God can solve anything and make a bad life better
