That passage encourages martyrdom. I'm not in support of that.
I feel I have more to gain now that I finally realize that in which I used to believe is nothing more than a myth and that religiosity is nothing more than willfull delusion.
Seeing things as they actually are is a good thing, mkay? No matter how comforting a delusion may be, it's always better to accept reality.

Nobody really is "with Christ", so what you really mean is with belief in a "Christ", presumably Jesus. In fact, Jesus, if he existed, has died a long time ago.
I used to be Christian, so I used to have a Christ belief. Now that I'm an atheist, I see the world much more clearly. That is a big gain. I no longer have the religious hangups that are drilled into every Christian, or at least not to the same extent.
Personally, I think it is a waste of the short life to spend it waiting for when we are dead. Now that I've changed my worldview, I'm living life more fully than I used to. I've been an atheist for over 20 years now and I've never been happier or more content.

this saying is like the rich man asking if he can enter into the Kingdom of God,Jesus tells him to sell everything and come back and be a disciple, the man cannot sell all hes been given and worked for.(the camel and the eye of the needle)this means to let go of all your worldly posessions, people, places etc. This is very hard to do,just when you think youv'e done it you realize you haven't.and all you hold dear and or posess will be taken from you anyway(parents friends, wife, brother.sister, etc)these things in the end wont matter,no matter how much you try to save them(..save his life)if you realize this when these things are taken away, and they all will, you'll understand.Life happens that way,you do not become bitter and say why God?For after realizing this you now understand(it hurts but theres a reason) at least thats how I see it

Without Christ, I'm doomed for all eternity to Hell. I prefer Heaven, and the only way I'll get there is by having Christ as my saviour. I DEFINETLY have more to gain WITH Christ.

personally i feel like everything is about karma. whatever you do will come back to you. if you look at life that way it makes more sense. i feel like christ may or may not have been what people say he is. i wasn't around then so i don't know. but the message is still the same. to do good in this world and not bad. towards yourself and everyone else. being completely religious has kept many people sane and from deystroying themselves and others. so personally i'm not really religious or christian but it does help to have something to hold onto.

Giving your life to Christ 97% of the time has nothing to do with maryterdom. It calls for living your life for God, those who have realy done this have become great people throu history.
My life is Gods. Is yours?

That line is absolute drivel. It does not even make sense, and the "for my sake" seems like something added by an overzealous monk. The line only makes slightly more sense with that spurious part edited out, it is still drivel.
