I can understand your point of view to a degree.
Here is mine:
We are not all hypocritical, but our goal is very high. We try to be Christ-like but sometimes fall short of our goal.
Sometimes our methods are a little extreme, but put yourself in our place. If you see someone in a building that is burning, wouldn't you try to rescue them? Even if they can't see the flames or smell the smoke, wouldn't you still try to persuade them to leave the building?
JUDE 1:22 "And of some have compassion, making a difference:" 23 "And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh."

Please forgive our forwardness, we just don't want to see you lost.

Not all Christians are the same. Some are new to it and are just getting used to being rejected and what not. And being good, nice people isn't what is getting us to Heaven. Witnessing to people isn't getting us there either. What you have to do to have eternal life after death is believe. Believe that God's one and only son died on the cross to defeat all our sins. Believe that God is the only way to Heaven. And I some Christians do get pretty pushy but not all are like that and you don't have to be like that. I don't think we are trying to push you away from Christ and I don't know how we are hypocritical. We aren't saying you have to do this and that. We are saying that your life would be so much different if you lived it to that of which the Bible says to. We are just trying to help you and yes, we are trying to save the world from destruction.

you're right we shouldn't be pushy. it's very annoying when someone tries to push something on you.

at the same time, my mom would not hav been a christian if friends who loved her didn't push a bit. If she hadn't become a christian i wouldn't be here!

I will do what God tells me to do. If he tells me to shout the news from the highest mountain, i'll start climbin. If he tells me leave a friend alone, and let him take over, i will move over.

the point is, i love you with Jesus' love, and i am praying for you, just that you will be at peace.

To christians, we are all an example to non-believers. A lot of people i know have sour opinions of christians, because christians they know haven't been acting in love through Jesus. we are the light of the world. we should show people Jesus by our actions, not by our words!

I too just want to thank you for you kind words and wish God's blessings over your life. I also want apologize for those of my brothers and sister that feel even offended by you kind words. There is no reason for them to jump on your spelling or grammer you may not even be a native English speaker. I am and I still mess of spelling a lot. Anyways I took note to what you said I'll try not to be so pushy. The truth is only God can really turn a person's heart toward him. We are just here to spread the word. Again blessings to you.

Nicely put but I don't think you understand. God does not force Himself on anyone, no need for Him to do that. As for His children, the Christians you are addressing- I am one of them I can tell you that Coke and Pepsi do more to force their products on you, I wonder how many letters you have written to companies like these to tell them that their plan won't work? I doubt very much that they would make a change to appease you.

You can say no to God, that is simply your choice. By telling the world that Jesus Christ gave His life to rescue sinners from hell, I am obeying my God and that is my choice. Who should I obey, you or God? I think we all know the answer.

For 2000 years Christains have been saying yes to God and telling the world that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life and that no one can come to the Father without Jesus. This is one Christian who does not have plans for stopping a program that has proven so successful for 2000 years.

I think you might be closer than you think, and that's good enough for me. I agree that Christians shouldn't be pushy. The best salesman is the one that can answer your questions and is there when your ready I'll show you about Christianity by the way I'l be there if needed, and the way I will love you as the family that you are. Good luck in life and please if you ever feel so low that you don't know what to do, come find one of us and we'll be glad to help you find your way. God bless you.

Not everyone of us is pushy. Granted I understand completely where you are comming from in that some are pushy..very pushy in fact. That is probably what took me so long to come to Christ. However don't be closed minded when you find out someone is a christian. Because not everyone is the same, thats part of God's wisdom.

I appreciate those comments. Thank you. I know not to push. I know when to stop. Bringing someone into the light sometimes needs to be taken gradually and you can't force someone. You must show them the way to find The Way. God bless. Thank you once again.

2.Acts 11:28-And there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the Spirit that there should be great dearth throughout all the world: which came to pass in the days of Claudius Caesar.

3.Were supose to bring people the good news of Christ.Forc it on them? No.When ya'll say force, that's ya'll perception, becuase ya'll wanna refuse to believe that what christians say is true.

First of all, buddy, do not insult and alienate those whose help you're asking (and it's spelled hypocritical).

Second, blanketing all Christians as bible thumpers is also asinine. Most Christians do not seek out non-christians to convert them. It is a select minority, mainly evangelicals, who engage in such behavior. It is debatable, in my mind, whether this brand of "saving" is mandated by the bible, or follows the teachings of harmony and understanding of Jesus the Christ.

To learn something from those teachings, as a christian or not, should be admirable.
