John 10 "Jesus saith, the good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep."

it was prophecied in Isaiah 52:13-53:12 He will be exaulted. He will first be marred more than any man. All we like sheep have gone astray and the Lord will make to light on him the iniquity of us all."

And he comes to give us as the Psalm 23 shepherd- life more abundantly-John 10 what does that mean to you-have you let him become your personal shepherd yet-that makes a difference-what does John 10 mean to you??

Hi there, Well as a Jew you should know very well that Jesus spoke to your ancestors in every day terms that could be understood at the time, this comparison of sheep and shepherd would have left no doubt as to what his message was to them.
the Good Shepherd is the one who wont run for the hills when the ferocious wolf comes, the Good Shepherd (Jesus), the wolf(satan).
People really dont change very much from generation to generation, we are still as blind as sheep to certain dangers, and will follow the wrong voice sometimes, to have Jesus the true and faithful Shepherd as my Saviour means that He will never leave me to the snares of the wolf, nor will he desert me.

In my personal life, I am finding that the term "shepherd" has a
distinct meaning. You know how the shepherd uses his staff,
to get the sheep to go the way he wants them to go?
I keep going off in all sorts of directions, and am having no luck
with anything.
The average believer would get disgusted. But I can see that
He is tyring to DIRECT me in the way He wants me to go.
I just haven't got there yet!

And, will you follow the sheep to slaughter, too? You are still not a Jew. You are a Christian. So, accept it.

John 10 means that our lives are more abundant because we know Christ. Also, because we know and follow Christ, He has given us eternal life. Now that is abundant life!
