properly, technically the Texas conflict of Independence had no longer something to do with america. the U. S. did no longer formally participate interior the conflict, did no longer deliver infantrymen, did no longer furnish the Texans with palms or money. on the tip of the conflict, Texas became an self reliant usa for 9 years (1836 - 1845) earlier starting to be a member of america (in basic terms to secede 15 years later). A conspiracy theorist could say that the U. S. sent all those white settlers into Mexico for the only objective of launching an armed revolution against the Mexican government, yet this scenario isn't probably supported via the historic data...

I don't believe that would ever happen. I believe that Texas wants to be independent and is THE ONLY State in the US that has the right to secede the US at any time. That is why it's called the Lonestar State, because it wants to be it's own country.

So, we will not give up that land, because there is too much oil in that land. Not to mention, I believe that respect, honor of a country's culture is a two-way street. I believe that the entitlement that is perceived to be there by the Mexicans about THEIR RIGHTS in the USA, is astounding. We find that appalling. So to answer you bluntly.. um No, I don't see the USA doing that, and remember Rights, Respect etc.. is a two-way street, and each of our county's have laws, and those laws need to be respected on BOTH sides of the border, and breaking laws as basic as citizenship and/or the basic desire to SHOW respect by following the first and most basic requirement we have, is to BECOME A CITIZEN LEGALLY.. and all the Illegals are just stomping over the RESPECT for OUR Culture, and yes, that ticks most of us off!

This is not an issue of land ownership. If the "land" was still owned by Mexico the illegal immigration problem would still exist. Do you really think that somehow things would be magically better for the Mexican people if they still owned this "land"? The answer is No. This "land" would then be under the control of the Mexican elite who have kept their people impoverished for centuries. The Mexican people should demand that their government provide them with a better life and not demand it of the US .

You don't have any land here in the USA,it all belongs to America. If you think you are big enough and bad enough to try to nullify the treaty then please try.I personally would love to watch. That thinking is what holds Mexico back, the fault of always looking backwards and crying about their mistakes instead of looking forward and thus creating a better future for all its people.Do you really honestly believe the drivel you post on here most of the time.Do you ever think of earning something instead of trying to renege on contracts and agreements ...and treaty's.?

You Mexicans don't want our land. You have plenty of land in Mexico. You want free benefits from America such as using our hospitals and then not paying the bill, and then welfare for your anchor babies. You are looking for any excuse to sneak into America and get freebies.

The wall isn't going up. It's not even a bill that is funded. It's just a tactic to appear that increased border security is in the works.

Give them their land back? Well, it's either American land or its Native American land because it certainly didn't start out as Mexican territory and it certainly isn't now. Mexico has no claim to it.

It's not their land... it was given to us as a result of us kicking their A** and in the treaty.
