is it ok to remove the ealier updates since i have the latest ones?
and in the windows directory,can i remove its folders too?

goto add remove>click show updates>then remove anyone u want

However if you want to remove them all you can go to control panel >>add/ remove programs >>click show updates >> click on any tabed in file >> click uninstall.

What would be the purpose of this action? I would not mess with the internal files of your windows components. 1-you are not gaining that much memory. 2-This in no way, can benefit you.

No. The newer updates need the older updates to work.

No, you can't becasue they all stack up on top of each other.

It would be like removing the bottom brick of your wall because you've got the top one in place.

Leave them alone. Microsoftie does some strange things.
You can make them hidden folders if they bother you.
