Can you prove to me that the men that wrote the bible truly were inspired by God? Can you prove that? Can you prove that any of the stuff in that thing is true? Can you? No you can't. The only proof you have is in your faith, which I have none in the Bible or any religion as a matter of fact, therefore it is not true to me. We can argue about this all day, but the facts are the facts, there is no proof from either side, just believers and non-believers, so get over it.

Well, here we go, courtesy of www.evilbible.com. Can't say I approve of that site's name, but they certainly did their homework in finding all sorts of contradictions, complete with passage numbers.
Prov 15:3/ Ps 139:7-10/ Job 34:22,21: God is everywhere present, sees and knows all things
Gen 11:5/ Gen 18:20,21/ Gen 3:8: God is not everywhere present, neither sees nor knows all things
Ex 32:27: Killing commanded
Ex 20:13: Killing forbidden
Gen 9:25/ Lev 25:45,46/ Joel 3:8: Slavery and oppression ordained
Is 58:6/ Ex 22:21/ Ex 21:16/ Matt 23:10: Slavery and oppression forbidden
Deut 27:22/ Lev 20:17: Marriage or cohabitation with a sister denounced
Gen 20:11,12/ Gen 17:16: Abraham married his sister and God blessed the union
Mark 6:8,9: Christ's disciples were commanded to go forth with a staff and sandals
Matt 10:9,10: Christ's disciples were commanded to go forth with neither staves nor sandals.
Jer 13:14/ Deut 7:16/ 1 Sam 15:2,3/ 1 Sam 6:19: God is cruel, unmerciful, destructive, and ferocious
James 5:11/ Lam 3:33/ 1 Chron 16:34/ Ezek 18:32/ Ps 145:9/1 Tim 2:4/ 1 John 4:16/ Ps 25:8: God is kind, merciful, and good
I can keep going all night. They have well over a hundred of these, all from Scripture. I read the Bible this summer myself and studied it, yup, found the same contradictions. Proof enough for you?

If you try to find the reason why it's not true, a course you're going to find why you think it's not true! People try to justify something that is been written many centuries ago! But if you do your study's!if the Bible is not true or if it is filled with errors, Christianity would only be a “blind faith”—something people believe without any evidence to support it.
Christianity is not a blind faith. It is the only religion that can prove itself, and a main source of that proof is the Bible.

Yes I have read it, that's why I know it is ridiculous. There are several websites that document the various inconsistencies, contradiction, illogic, and just plain silly and wrong information. Here are a few, and you are free to do the reading yourself, I don't have to prove anything to you.

It was written 200 years after Jesus died, it was written by men and humans are biased and can easily make mistakes...especially when it comes to recording events that long after they happened. Record keeping wasn't top notch back then anyways. Along with the fact that it has been re-translated numerous times, what if some parts are left out?
Either way who cares, your faith shouldn't rely on a book...what about faith in God?

Marcus Borg, a famous theologian, once quipped, "Everything in the Bible is true, and some of it actually happened."
Truth is not the same as historic or scientific factuality. The truth of God's love for us and God's ultimate "yes" to humanity in the person of Jesus Christ doesn't hinge on the scientific or historical accuracy of Scripture.

You don't believe? And your life paradigm is based on faith? C'mon now, be a believer.
The bible is real. It is not true. That is to say, it wasn't written by God. It was written by man. It is a collection of stories that were selected by men to further their personal social agenda.
It's ok that you want to structure your life around this particular collection of ideas, but it's not ok for you to tell others that they are wrong for not believing in your personal paradigm.
With or without contradictions, what I've said doesn't lose it's validity.

Which Bible? I used to have one that was different from the others at church. There were pages that were changed. Maybe it was an edited version just for me? Sorry, I can't prove it. Prove that it "IS" true. I believe you can't either.

There is nothing in The Bible of The True Christian faith for the non-believer... nor for even the honest seeker who is not open to the leading of The holy spirit.... for the non-believer there are indeed "conradictions" because they are lost and unable to see their way.... because they do not know The Way... a great many non-believers have "read" The Bible... don't mean they have a snowballs chance in hell of undersanding it.

For all of you out there who think the Bible has contradictions, you are wrong. When the Bible is rightly divided and you pay attention to whom the books are written it makes total sense. Read the Bible according to the dispensations. The link below explains the dispensations and how to rightly divide the Bible.
