eat a lot of beets, they are very high in iron,or lean red meat,im hesitant to recommend iron supplements as it is easy to essentially overdose and poisen yourself on iron, but you may want to take a multi vitamin with lycopene. there are 2 types of cholesterol, the good and the bad,lol im sorry i forgot which is which, someone else on here will tell you, lol.so i dont think that at this point in our society that it would be uncommon for you to have high cholesterol at your age,cut out the junk foods, the fast foods, sugars and fats, try to eat more raw vegatables (leafy greens and sprouts) limit your meats to lean (turkey,or lean red steaks) eat oatmeal for breakfast everyday (it really does work to lower cholesterol). im assuming because your a little anemic that your probably tired a lot and that is contributing to your over all ill health and bad eating habits, drink lotsa water and no more sodas, lol. the biggest challenge your facing is yourself,if you can allow yourself to come out of your comfort zone and work hard to change bad habits,at your age youll be feeling healthier within a week or two and hopefully that positive feeling will snowball into a total rejuvination of health and happiness

Here's my advice, eat more fruits and vegetables, whole grain bread (never white)- trust me not all whole wheat bread is gross just try a couple, no eggs for awhile unless they are omega 3 , also try to eat more fish (not salmon) and poultry. You can still eat pizza and crap every now and then. It's better to make a long-term plan than to try and crash diet or try a quick fix.. Health is more important than anything else. As for low iron ask a doc to give some iron pills, because if your low it takes a long time to get those extra vitamins to catch up. And your periods will make you so much more tired ect. Since your a woman you should get some sort of iron supplement...you'll thank me

How do you know what you have, or have not? Have you been to a medical doctor? They can take a blood test for cholesterol and for iron (anemia) and anything else they need to determine the state of your health. Heck, just go for the complete physical while you are at it. The doctor can give you a diet to follow, too. That is, if you need one. Good luck, and for God's Sake, don't start smoking! I speak from experience.
