Latter-day Saints believe that there are three "levels" of heaven. I guess you could say we will each inherit a certain degree of glory depending on how righteous we are in this life. These are referred to as the celestial glory, terrestrial glory, and telestial glory. Paul touched on this when he said, "There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory. So also is the resurrection of the dead." (1 Corinthians 15:41-42). Likewise, Paul also made reference to a third heaven (2 Corinthians 12:2). This would seem to indicate that there are at least three heavens, or degrees of glory.

The LDS don't believe that you have to earn "points" to get to heaven, but they do believe that you need to receive a testimony of Jesus, be baptized by the proper authority, and keep the commandments of God to enter into the celestial glory.

There is no "point system"...but there are certain things we believe we must do to attain the highest degree of glory, which is to live eternally with our familes, our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ in the Celestial Kingdom.
You can read about our basic beliefs at LDS.org, the 13 Articles of Faith. We also believe in 3 levels or degrees of glory as compared to "heaven" , Celestial, Terrestrial, Telestial. The characteristics or criteria of those in each kingdom are described in Doctrine & Covenants section 76. It is a wonderful section.
Please just get your info from the correct source, whether you choose to believe or not, just go to the source, don't listen to people who just hate the church.

the Lost and Deceived of Satan do believe you have to do works to earn your way... Too many otherwise good people have fallen for this deception... I had several of them try to get me to join up with the over about thirty years... I studied what they gave me I prayed as they told me... I aske acceptable questions... but it always had a very empty feeling to me...that there was really nothing to it all.... finaly at the age of 53 I became of The true Chrisian Faith...mormons are not Christian btw... no missionaries, no preachers, priests, or evangelists...just God and me... now 6 1/2 years latter I am absolutly certain I made the right choise to call out to God when I did in The Way He proscribes... because I received His free gift of Salvation and my place in Heaven is assured...

Stay as far away as you can from the LDS...
There is o way you can "earn" your way into Heaven

No, it isn't a point system. However, they DO have different levels of heaven.
