Isn't this a little hypocritical?

I'm with Jibba Jabba on this - worry about your own hypocrisy and stop butting in other people's lives. It's her wedding, so let her do whatever she wants for it. Unless you're the groom, MYOB.

No. I don't think so. Church weddings are very traditional, so I totally understand her wanting one. Besides, just because someone doesn't attend church regularly doesn't mean they don't have a religious connection with God hidden somewhere. Even if this is not the case, still, a church wedding is what most family members and guests expect, and most brides think this as the place they'd prefer to be wed. Not hypocritical at all.

NO a Church Wedding is traditional wedding. When I got Married I was new to Christianity. However, I went to church years ago with my parents. But, never knew more about attending church then I do when I am older.

It just means she has this traditional idea probably since childhood that women should get married at church and this is where she always imagined it should be. A lot of people go to church on Easter Sunday even if they don't go regularly just for tradition. Maybe years ago I would think it was kind of hippocritical but now I'm just so used to it that it doesn't even phase me.

Lots of people love being married in a church. It's not hypocrytical. Maybe she likes the look of the church. Perhaps she feels drawn to the building. It certainly won't hurt her or anyone else.

Maybe...yeah, probably.

That doesn't bother most people, though. It's like going to church on Easter and Christmas because it's the thing to do. It has no meaning for them.

Well, she may be a bit hypocritical, but that doesn't mean she doesn't still believe and maybe she still wants God's blessing upon her marriage. I think it means that she takes marriage seriously.

Many people, of all religious traditions, are culturally affiliated with that religious tradition without being particularly spiritual or observant.

She is a romantic!

Maybe much as Stanley Kowalski says about Blanche DuBois and alcohol, she never touches religion but it touches her often.
