On a molecular level, hot liquids, or more accurately thier molecules, are moving at a much faster rate than cold liquids. This action makes them less dense and they absorb faster through the lining of the stomach.
Carbonated liquids also absorb faster, thus causing any alchohol that is carbonated or mixed with a carbonated liquid (coke, seltzer water ect) to absorb faster getting you drunk faster than the same quantity of alcohol in a non carbonated form.

Hot tea travels through my body faster than iced tea. I do not know why, but about 15 to 30 minutes after I have hot tea, I have to use the restroom. It is about one to two hours for iced tea, depending on how much I drink.

Yes, scientifically speaking, liquids which adjusted to room temperature absorb into your body a lot quicker, but with colder fluids, your body has to warm the liquid. I hope u got your answer.
