I base my beliefs on what is evidenced to me in nature.

I've always been fascinated with Nature, I think it is amazing just what its capable of... and so beautiful. I've always been very open minded, humanity is something worth celebrating too.
I decided at the age of 4 (my own choice, my parents didnt push one way or the other) that the bible was a story book so that was never an option. Then (when I was a fair bit older) I heard about Wicca, and did a load of reading. It all clicked, its exactly how I had felt all along! I dunno, it just felt right. Its not asking I believe in something that cannot be seen or felt... I cant do blind faith (that just seems wrong to me).

On a side note, I just wish more people would read about Pagan religions, just so they understood them and stopped the comments born out of fear and ignorance!

I'm an atheist and humanist. I believe this way because after a lot of thought, it seems most "real" to me. Haha, sorry that sounds lame. Let me rephrase.

Because the other faiths I looked at collapsed either with logic or because they were immoral or internally inconsistant. Yes, I would LIKE to believe in eternity in heaven - but I don't get to pick reality based on what I most WANT to be true. If that were the case, Brad Pitt and Gerard Way both have killer crushes on me.

What makes me believe it in the first place is - I am believing it because it's moral and doesn't go against logic. I am not believing in it based on fear of "what if I'm wrong."

What you've asked is probably one of the hardest questions to answer. First I am a Christian and do believe with all my heart. I think that the only way I can answer you is that whenever I am in church or reading the Bible or just thinking I get this feeling of revelation and realize that yes this is truth. So, Believe that my belief in Christ came when I recognized what truth was, what love was, what kindness was, and everything good and true. I'm sorry if this sounds strange but it's the truth.

God . My religion or faith is not the top importance but GOD is---
My religion or faith helps me stay on the right path.
My religion or faith is worshipping with others, bible, praying and singing praises to our awesome God for all he does and has done. What makes me beleive in the first place is the awesome feeling you have when you let the holy spirit work through you and knowning God's promises for us. Knowing and accepting Jesus as your savior.

Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things unseen.

More Details: Well I have Faith. I am a Christian. Well initally I was of my Faith because that is what I was taught. Now it is more because of situations in my life that God has helped me with. If it were not for He I would have died giving child birth 6 years ago. That is why I believe.

Right, i was born as a muslim and i still am and what made me more into my religion is our muslim books (The Holy Qura'an,Hadith) And to top that off we also go to the mosque which makes us learn more about our religion by reading books on what the prophets have told us to do.I don't know if that last sentence makes sense or not. But You've probably got my point.

It is what has been set down before me in the Bible. That is God's love letter to each one of to follow each and every single day. When I am lead and I follow with the heart of God then I know what is right and what is wrong - when I am lead by my own flesh then I am not doing what God asks and therefore I miss the mark and have to come back to God and ask for Him to forgive me.

To know that Jesus died and took ALL my sins away is what I know to be true - it is what sets me free to do the things God wants me to do just for Him and not for the world.

I found myself in REAL trouble...jail trouble and was going to face BIG slammer time. Like 10 years for child porn, cocaine posession, marijuana cultivation (of 88 plants) and marijuana posession.

I gave my life to Jesus and found peace. i didnt even mind the thought of being in jail, Jesus gave me such purpose. I have never touched a drug since, 3 years later, I help people get off drugs and porn at a 12 step group, I have a house, a mustang and a porsche and NO record. All charges droppes, no body could explain, not even my lawyer.

Most of all, I have reason to live and I'm going to heaven. I encourage you and anyone to accept jesus as your substitute for sins. You can only come to God if youre perfect and nobody is. So we accept Jesus as our perfect substitute and are "saved". If I'm wrong, so what? If I'm right, see you in heaven. If I'm right and you don't do it, say hi to my old friends in hell.

because what I believe works for me although I seriously doubt if anyone else would accept my personal belief system as I have " customized " a basic Christian with other Relgious Belief Systems including Native American ( THE PEOPLE ) Spirituality and other Ancient Way Beliefs to form a Belief System of my own.

Opening my eyes and experiencing the world on my own, not what I have been told or "taught" to believe is what has me believing as I do. I think it is important for everyone to pick the path they feel drawn to, not born into, not brought up in, not forced to. They way one worships should be a matter of their OWN choice.
