Loft has to do with the angle of the clubhead. What I think you really want to know is will the ball fly higher. That is harder. The ball will go higher based on the loft and the speed. If you hit the ball slowly a driver with a 9 degree loft won't get the ball in the air very well. Hope this helps.

A driver with 11 degrees is about one-half degree more lofted than "average" loft drivers. However, even good players who shoot in the 70's have been known to use drivers with 11 degrees of loft. Driver lofts generally vary between 7 and 11 degrees.

Higher or lower than what? I use a 9* driver to get under heavy wind to keep the ball low and rolling...on a clear warm day, I use a 10* driver to gain altitude plus roll...when I play a course that I need to position most of my shots, I use a 10.5* so that the ball goes high and when it hits it pretty much stops...

9* is the standard, so 11* will project the ball higher, but oyu may lose a little distance

11 is high for a driver. that's more like a 3 wood.
9.5 is seen a lot.
