Actually, it's 100ml, which is 3.4 ounces. More than that, they won't let you take. Put it, along with all your other liquid/gel/cream/aerosol items into a quart size zip lock bag, and when you're putting your belongings through the X-ray be sure and take this bag out and give it to the officer seperately. Some might try to qualify contact lens solution as a "medical need," but since it's readily available everywhere within the states, there's no reason to take that large a quantity. If you think you need that much, put some into a smaller container, and put the rest in your checked bag. www.tsa.gov has traveler's tips.

Contact lens solution falls into the allowed medications category. You may carry more than 3 oz. but you must declare liquid medications at the security checkpoint. For details read our page at http://www.mousetourstravels.com/packing-medications.html Keep in mind that if you are traveling into or out of the UK the rules will be more stringent. Check with the sites for TSA or British Airways. http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/specialneeds/index.shtm and http://baa.com/

It's 3 oz. Contact lens solution of 3oz or less falls under a different category. Any contact lens solution over 3oz must be declared at security.

As long as you are LEAVING the USA, you can bring a small supply of solution. But coming back in...you lose everything. You will have to buy solution from a duty free area after you pass inspection. Trust me, I lost everything. And it ain't cheep.
