Yep, part of the reason why me and my ex are not together is because he just got baptized and joined a church not too long ago......good for him. I'm glad that he made that step to becoming closer to God, but I don't believe in the Christian religion. I do believe in a God, but not their practice. And of course he would want to raise our children (if we ever had any) in church, but I don't. There's one thing I do believe in what that bible said.....do not be unevenly yoked. Our beliefs differences has put a strain in our relationship. We could have been married and all that but hey..........it is what it is.

I think it can not work between to different beliefs it could but its not easy I have done that before and it did not work at all because we had to different kind of morals I like to stick to bible principals and he didnt he liked cheating and lying and all of that and that is something that I do not do and then when I would go to my religion and feel encouraged and I wanted to talk about it I couldnt share it with him and it was hard because he didnt have any beliefs in anything so he was living his life according to him and that got to be difficult because all the rules got broken and I didnt understand the purpose in his life ( I know it sound wierd but I didnt know what was his ultimate goal he lived in the moment he didnt set goals he just lived day to day not knowing) I think that I could have respected him more if he believed in something

You deserve better. I understand how you are feeling, the times when you just get a bad gut feeling when you think about something someone said.. you just totally have to rethink WHY you are in the relationship. I ended a relationship a couple of years back because my then girlfriend said that she felt it was stupid to go to church, and a waste of time. And I went to church maybe 2 times the whole time I was dating her. Sometimes its not even about the actual issue but how people react to it. Good luck.

As long as you guys can come to agreement, things should be fine. My boyfriend is a church-going christian and is strong in his beliefs, but I'm a pagan and polytheistic. We've come to an agreement basically to avoid the subject and accept each other because we love each other, love can get you past anything if its true.

Yes, I have. But, it was much deeper than that..other issues clashed as well and it ended with the breakup. However, we are currently seeking peace and getting back together again. If you are in love...It should not matter. Love is the strongest force known to man. Use it, show him love. And do not force the L-rd upon him.

Probably incompatible, the only reason you have been able to maintain a relationship for 18 months is because its all imaginary and long distance.
