Agreed, they are better in France and Tenerife than the UK. They carry more known brands in Tenerife and both have a better range than in the UK.

YEAH! The four local Kwik saves (all in a 1.5 mile radus from my house) have been replaced by two homebase stores and a kwik save (the other 1 is still having work done to it) i find it's got good stuff, cheaply made, granted, but everything i get there does the business and is what it says on the tin so i've got no complaints here, especially because it requires very little 'squeeze' from my wallet :-) I didn't know they were scandinavian: but what's your question? just looking for fellow nettoists? well i'm 1 of 'em!!
are you?

Netto is a cheap store that sells grocery, fresh foods and sundries ..the food brands... are like you never heard before and i would not buy anything in a tin from there 'cos I like to read the labels (impossible at Netto) and know what i'm getting!!!!

We have a Netto near me too. The only place where the carrier bags are more expensive than the baked beans!

It all depends on what you are looking for.
I can highly recommend the fresh fruit and veg and also the cleaning products. Steer clear of the 9 pence beans and spaghetti.
The meat is also very good quality and the special offers such as laminate flooring and car stuff are fantastic if they dont run out of stock before you get there.

They have branded goods there, and therefore you know that the items you are buying are good. Their prices are below most other -but not all-supermarkets. You have to beware of their 'fresh' fruit and begetables though, I find they are not as fresh as the make out to be. Their loo papaer is very cheap, as is their washing powder

Round us wherever there's a Netto there's an Aldi. Someone told me that there are two brothers in direct competition with each other. Dunno if that's right or not. Food pretty moderate in both places
