My guess would be that you are using a product that contains a lot of oil, your hair is naturally more oily, or you aren't getting it rinsed out well.
Here are a few suggestions. Use a shampoo for oily hair every other time you wash your hair. Use a daily (light) shampoo on alternate days. Shampoo twice. Use a light conditioner or no conditioner at all. Use the same brands, and don't buy store brands. Salon brands are more expensive, but for a good reason. They are PH balanced to the specific hair type. The ones in the store may say they are, but when tests are done on them they are usually highly acidic or highly alkaline. Allow hair to air dry as long as possible before drying. Don't use heavy gels, or other styling products. Also, try and stick with the same company that manufacturers your shampoo. I would reccommend the Biolage line of haircare for you. Consult with the stylist at the salon or beauty supply store where you intend to purchase the products. Mix a little baking soda with water until a fairly spreadable paste forms...apply to hair after shampooing once a week. Allow it to remain in for a few minutes. Rinse. This will remove any build-up or waxy residue from your hair from sprays, gels, and conditioners.

Depending on your age, This could be due to hormones, :o).
If you have been under pressure lately this could also be a reason,
Don't worry, this doesn't reflect your personal hygiene. It's just something within your body, In your local store you can find hair wash for oily hair, buy a shampoo and conditioner and use that for about 1 week, you should see amazing results. Don't use conditioner everyday,
If you use wax, gels, mouse, leave in hair conditioner etc, this could also be your problem, go a few days without those products and see if your hair improves. :)
The oil is created from your scalp,
I can also advise you use a dandruff control shampoo too!! Because this has a low level of a form of peroxide and will help your hair, ( when i had acne i used this on my face and scalp and my ane was gone in 2 weeks). SO make sure you massage your shampoo into your scalp and rinse thoroughly.

I went through like 2 months when my hair was like that. No matter how many times a day I washed it, it was still greasy. And I could feel it. It was so gross. Fortunately it stopped on its own. I seriously washed it like 7 times a day. I am still not sure to this day what caused it.
Tips: try Neutrogina anti-residue shampoo, don't condition the roots (just ends), wash hair with vinegar (no it doesn't stink once it drys, the smell kinda vaporizes), posssibly see a salon person or a dermatologist if none of these help.
Good luck.

Do you go tanning? I noticed when I went tanning a lot my hair started getting greasy in the shower. When I eased up a bit, it stopped. Also, a lot of enviromental factors can lead to that..is your house full of smokers? Try using a clairfying shampoo and use conditioner about once a week (never on the roots..only on the tips). Cut back on greasy foods and drink a lot of water. Hope it helps! :)

honestly i have no idea as to why hair would be greasy after a shower, but i would suggest using a better shampoo, not showering more than 2c a day, once is better. showering a lot is very bad for your hair. and dont touch your hair too much during the day, since your hands are always covered in oil, which causes grease on hair.

you poor thing - there's nothing worse than greasy hair!!
a couple of suggestions:-
there used to be a dry shampoo you could buy - it was powder based product, which was super for oiler hair
how about putting a colourant through your hair, they have a tendancy to dry the hair out a little which may help!
a perm lotion will also dry your hair out a little, you dont necessarily have set it on rollers, just comb it through.
another thing might be to try heat - tongs or straightners will dry your hair out
I know all the above are a bit damaging to your hair - but lets face it will probably be better than greasy looking hair!!
good luck

some peeple just produce more sebum than others. you can try using a dry product such as a powder, but be very careful in doing so using to much will cause you to have to wash your hair again. also try switching shampoos maybe your brand or your hair is used to the product/s that you are using

IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE A AN OVER ACTIVE OR VERY ACTIV SEBACEOUS GLANDS RESULTING IN AN EXCESS OF SEBUM HAIR AND TYE BEST WAY TO GET RID OF IT IS
1.SELECT A SHAMPOO THAT SAYS OR LABLES FOR OILY HAIR OR ONE THAT IS EXTRA CLEANSING OR CLAIRFYING
2.STAY A WAY FROM MOISTURIZING SHAMPOO THEY ARE DESINGED TO LEAVE CERTIN OLIYNESS IN UR HAIR.
3.SHAMPOO EVERY DAY IN ORDER TO REMOVE OIL.
4.LEAVE THE SHAMPOO ON UR HEAL A LIL BIT LONGER
5. BRUSH UR HAIR AS LESS AS POSSIBLE THE MORE U BRUSH IT THE MORE THE OIL GLANDS WILL BE OPEN
