can i get a unsubsidized loan and if so what are the requirements

You need to apply for financial aid a FASFA.GOV or ORG i'm not sure which. They will process your app. Then when you choose a college and enroll you can get your money from there. It's a long process so do it soo, plus ppl will be applying for next year soon.

You can get an unsubsidized loan, if you are a dependent student:
(1) you don't qualified for any need based loan
(2) your parents tried to apply for a parent plus loan and was denied

freshmen and sophmore can get up to 4,000 junior and seniors up to 5000

Independent students are automatically qualify provided they completed a FAFSA

It depends on you and your parents' financial situation. You need to fill out a federal loan form which you can get at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
