My amp is a Hifonics Brutus BXi 2006D.

My trunk had a leak and got some water on my amp. probably enough water to fill the little shot glasses.

and about 2 minutes later my music wasnt playing along with my music. it was making its own bass. kind of like thunder.

so i turned the volume all the way down. and it was still doing it. so i turned of the car.

i let it dry for like 10 hours and tried it again. and it was playing fine than it started again after like 10 minutes. but the music was playin fine and the woofers were doing what they were supposed too. accept that you can hear the thunder sound in the background.

so i let it rest for another 5 hours and it played perfectly. no more wierd sounds. the subs are hitting perfectly normal. the amp isnt heating up. everything just fine...

Does that mean that its fine and it just needed to dry or is it ganna blow up on me later??

Actually, from my background, oxidation has already started. I'm sorry to say it will fail since you didn't remove power totally from the amp (if you still had power wires hooked up, that's all it takes).

When it will fail is a coin toss, but it will.

Anytime water comes in contact with power, electrolysis begins to occur (the transformation of water into its two elements, hydrogen and oxygen, both of which are very corrosive) and will start the oxidation process. Once the copper traces on the PCB board oxidize, they don't stop until no more power runs throught them (they literally eat themselves in two to break current flow).

Take it to a pro electronics technician and he may be able to stop this process if it hasn't gotten too far.

In the future if water comes in contact with ANY electronics, remove power or batteries and let it dry fo 48 hours. This is the only way to protect the circuits form oxidation.

I am with the other guys, do not turn it back on for a few days and take the cover off and look at the inside. let it dry for several days, even if you think it is dry....wait a few more! You are very lucky you didnt damage it when you turned it back on. You need to remember that water and electric does not mix well at all! You can go without the bass for a few days to make sure it is ok....much better than going a few weeks to save to buy another amp. Good luck!! Pound it LOUD!

You need to let it dry out for several day's before you play it. Keep your heater on to help. Patience is a virtue and it will probably be fine in SEVERAL day's.
