It is true that the Almighty did not say, "Listen, thousands of years from now when a new language called English comes along, they can pronounce my name as 'Jehovah' and that's fine."
Instead, like with any and every personal name, different languages TRANSLATE personal names to fit their lingual tendencies. George becomes "Hor-hey" in Spanish or "Gay-org" in German and no one gets upset.
It's not exactly wrong to call the Almighty by the impersonal "God", just as it's not wrong to call one's offspring "Child". If we want a familiar and close relationship, however, it makes sense to use the personal name of someone we love. The Scriptures encourage us to use God's personal name.
The Hebrew name “Yahweh” (or “Yehowah”) does seem to accurately pronounce the divine name. Just as the Hebrew name “Yeshua” (or “Yehoshua”) is translated into “Jesus” in English, the Hebrew name “Yahweh” is translated into “Jehovah” in English.
The important thing is to use God’s personal name in whatever language you speak, rather than insisting upon the impersonal! The name “Yahweh” is certainly preferable to the non-name “God” or “Lord”, especially if you speak Hebrew. If you speak English, feel free to use the name "Jehovah".

(John 17:26) [Jesus said] I have made your name known to them and will make it known, in order that the love with which you loved me may be in them
The so-called "name" of "Allah" has no connection with the Scriptures, Judaism, or Christianity.

Allah is His name in Arabic alone, Middle-Eastern Christians use the word Allah to refer to God.
Elohim is primarily used in an English context only by Mormons, referring to God the Father.
Adonai is simply an alternative to YHWH. Adonai means lord(s). YHWH is simply an abbreviation of the Hebrew translation of the term "I am who I am". Jehovah was a form of writing YHWH in Roman letters adding vowels.
Yeshua is simply the modern Hebrew/Aramaic translation of Jesus (which is Greek). The true Hebrew name is Joshua. His Hebrew name would have been Joshua ben Joseph (Joshua/Jesus, son of Joseph).
God has no name, but told Moses to tell the Israelites to remember Him as "I am". Jesus Himself supported this.
John 8:58

YHWH is a Hebrew word which translates into I AM.
The rest has also been lost in numerous translations, with one exception where Allah's revelation, His name, attributes and religious teachings remain intact and in the same language in which was revealed, it is referred to as AL-ISLAM.

Allah is the same thing like all of the above, its just a language thing.Allah is the Arabic word for God,there is a bible writ ting in Arabic and every time God is mentioned the word Allah is used,and i av a copy of the holy quran in English the word God is used not Allah ,the word God is just English..for example in my country we have over 200 languages and tribes and every language call God different names,just one God

God's name is Jehovah God. that is his only name. read ps 83 verse 18. even Jesus Christ told us that his Fathers name was Jehovah. and that he is the son of Jehovah God

I think Allah just means God in Arabic, so Christians in Arabic countries probably call their God Allah as well.
In anycase, my God's name is Krishna, his skin is dark like the thundercloud and he has sex with the Gopis!

The God of Abraham goes by many names. Each name represents one of the attrubutes of Gods nature. However, if we were all to call him just one name I think it might be, "I AM that I AM".
