Number 1, How much time do you have, Number 2, How much time DO you have, Number 3, Milk with HIGH Fat content, like Whole milk has a better butter chance.

No, you need heavy cream to make butter from scratch - think of it this way. Butter is the fat from milk separated out. If you have 2% milk it would take 50 cups of milk to make one cup of butter. Heavy whipping cream contains about 30-35% fat - you can make butter with it but keep in mind, for each cup of cream you will only get about 1/3 - 1/2 cup of butter. Take cream and put it in a blender or food processor - after it reaches the whipped cream stage the fat will start to gather together and will eventually form a big glob of butter. Pour off the buttermilk and use immediately. Good luck with this!

well any milk you buy at the supermarket is in one way or another modified, so I don't think you would have any luck making butter out of it.
I grew up in a farm and I remember how my grandma would first make sour cream from fresh milk of a cow, then beat that cream for very long time, until she would get soft butter and a liquid that for me was very disgusting, but others would drink it as if it was the most delicious drink on planet!

No you need whole cream. Even then you get so little butter to cream, it's a waste of time.
