We got a kitten a week ago. Since she's mine, she sleeps in my room. At night she gets on my bed and attacks me! And its like, if you breath and your chest goes up. She ponces on you! She keeps this up until about one in the morning. I cant deal with this when I need to wake up early on school nights. We try to make her more active during the day, but it doesnt work much. maybe a 15 min. difference. Well, she's only 3 months so Im not sure if its even perfectly safe for her to sleep on my bed, even though its at the foot were she sleeps. We recently got her a cat bed and she sleeps in it even though every one says that cats wont do it. She has been sleeping in the Bathroom for the past week and Im going to try in my room again. Are there any suggestions to making her sleep in her bed instead of mine? At least until shes 4 months old.

Get a large cage and put her bed in that.
While you are sleeping she could be in the cage and when you wake let her out.
She will learn very quickly to settle down when you settle down. She is just a kitten and if you train her now you will not have a problem. If you let her away with it now you will have a problem forever.
Unfortunately cats are nocturnal... so moving around at night is their nature. My cat has learned not to bother me while I sleep but she does roam at night.

The more play the better for an active kitten! I agree with the person who says to have a play session right before bed. (However, I must point out that technically cats are "crepuscular" - active at dawn and dusk - not "nocturnal"). With a little time, kitty will adjust to your time schedule though. Another option is getting another kitten. They'll wear each other out and may leave you alone. On the other hand, you might have double trouble. hehe! Plus, two kittens are twice the fun and they'll keep each other company during times when all humans are away from home.

All cats are nocturnal by nature but become a bit more accustomed to the household daily routine over time. At night, shut in your room, you are the only game going on and thats the truth. In addition during the busy course of your day this is when she's got you all to herself. You can try setting up some intense play time before bed and again in the morning while ignoring her after lights out, but it's going to be a long time before she outgrows the need to play at night. She's a little child who gets lonely, bored, and maby even a little scared.

I think you should keep her in a room (a small room ) like a bathroom. Put the cover down on th toilet , put all things that are dangerous away or out of reach. make sure there's lots of water in a bowl for her to drink and her bed or a soft clean bath mat Do this just before you go to bed . you could even put her toys in the room so she can play.. Get her in the morning . If you try this for a few days she might like it. Or you could keep your door closed just before you go to bed and let her find her own place to sleep. But make sure she'll be safe threw the night because shes still a baby. Good luck.. Remember to leave plenty of water out for her and toys.

Get a Kennel for it. I use a dog hailer for a medium dog. It is huge compaired to the little kitten and I have a small box in the back with litter and some toys, Food and water. My cat doesn't mind it at all. I can go to bed not worrying about what she is doing. Keeps her safe from electrical cords, bothering you, I'd say its worth a try. And if you purchase one than you can use it to bring them to the vet and things like that. I don't like the little tiny cat carriers. Its nice for them to have some room!

When we had kittens they wouldn't let me sleep either. I started feeding them before I went to bed. They would have a full tummy and wouldn't be so active at night. Of course my cats are spoiled. They have dry cat food available to them always. I feed them a mix of dry and wet in the morning when I get up and at night before I go to bed.

Maybe put her into a cage at night. If that doesn't work provide her with lots of toys she can play with during the day. So that ways she will be tired at night.

I am going through a similar situation with my 6 month old kitten. She wants to steal my pillows and take over it while I want to sleep. Three times each night I try to shoo her off and she won't stay off. I told my husband we need to invest in a bigger cage and put her in there over night.

you could try tempting her with treets on her bed. or you could take the bed and put it in the familiy room cus all the people I know that have cats cannot keep them in their room. they've had the same problem. just gonna have to lock the kitty out of your room.
