A couple of recipies i use because they last a few days are

Bulgar wheat salad
Cook 8 oz of bulgar wheat in a stock cube and water for about 15 minutes or according to the pack instructions.

Then when it is cool mix it with
one chopped up cucumber
4-6 chopped up tomatoes.
one choppped onion
one bunch of mint
one bunch of parsley
one bunch of corriander

you can also add grapes olives or pine nuts if you fancy.
Then make a dressing of a couple of tablespoons of olive oil and juice of 2 lime or lemon juice and a bit of black pepper.

Mix it into the salad well. This will last for a week and tastes better with each day. ITs healthy and full of vitamins and fills you up. Have it for lunch or to accompany some meat or fish for dinner.

The second salad i make which is dead easy and healthy

about 250 grammes of wholemeal pasta - penne or spirals

and mix it with some tinned tuna or salmon
onion
cucumber
sweetcorn
tomatoes

and what ever else you finish

squeezze over the juice of a lime.

This will also last a good few days in the fridge

Good for you, Paul!

Keep a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables in the house. Snack on them when you get cravings. Keep one or 2 pieces of fruit in your briefcase to snack on at work. This will cut the urge for the chips.

Make water your primary drink. Limit your sodas, lattes, energy drinks and juices.

Take a multi vitamin for active people. GNC makes an Ultra Mega one that I love. I also feel the results of taking them.

Make sure that your protein sources are lean. Chicken and fish are tops.

Try to go with whole grains for more nutrition and better carbs. Brown rice, whole wheat couscous, whole grain breads and tortillas.

Reward yourself! After 2 weeks of good, steady workouts and good eating, have your steak and potato loaded with sour cream and the biscuits and cream gravy for breakfast. It's the only way to stay sane!

Brown rice, potatoes, oatmeal and whole grain hot cereals, whole grain bread WITHOUT added sugar-preferably with flax or other seeds. Working out requires more carbs. Listed above are the best sources.

Hazelnut milk (available in the rice milk section) is wonderful for your heart. Any kind of nuts, preferably raw and unsalted (NO sugar coating).

Basic dinner: baked fish or chicken, brown rice, steamed vegies.
Eat equal amounts rice and vegies and either 1/2 to 1/3 as much meat.

The obvious including plenty of water. Raw cauliflower as a snack, heard the cauliflower actually has "negative" calories ase your body needs so much energy to digest it.

Wish I had your willpower. Good luck

Make this brown rice, keep some and freeze some in freezer bags. Keep a bunch of frozen mixed veggies on hand and get one of those big frozen bags of boneless skinless chicken breast halves. Be inventive w/ the chicken, I like to brown it in a skillet then simmer in white wine with rosemary.

Keep an honest diary of your progress including what you eat and drink and what exercise you do and how long for...

It makes you feel bad when you have to write down that yesterday I had:

bacon roll for breakfast, with can of coke and a milky way

McDonalds for lunch- Big Mac meal with strawberry milkshake

5 pints of fosters, one packet of chicken sensations crisps 3 WKD blues and a double vodka and coke

Beef chop suey for tea

whilst all of those websites have great recipes it seems such as you may desire to learn some cooking concepts. Braising, roasting, boiling, broiling, sauteeing etc. those are all cooking concepts & in case you learn a pair of those nicely you are able to cook dinner just about something. you would be making up your individual recipes.
