as opposed to living in the united states?

It is no doubt very similar to living in the USA, there is a McDonald's round every corner and everyone is constantly pissed off about the government. The major differences are that there is less gun crime over here and there is what most people call "bad weather". I myself like the weather, I came back from Rome recently (I saw the pope, he does not look quite so evil in real life), stepped of the plane and was greeted by a nice big hug from a freezing gust of wind- so much nicer than the heat in Rome, made me feel right at home. The UK, especially England, is very crowded, I had a distant relative from Texas come over recently who was terrified when a car overtook him on the motorway- he was not used to so many cars being on the same road.

Oh- and I forgot to mention that we all frightfully enjoy scones followed by a rollicking good dance round the maypole- Hurrah.

Living in the UK is awesome! I lived in London for three and a half years. It was like living in the US 20 years ago when we weren't so politically correct. There's tons to do, plenty of culture, plenty of good food and from London you can see the rest of Europe fairly cheaply. I would move back in a second, if only I could afford it...it is very expensive.

We sit around in our cricket whites all day and drink tea and eat scones and talk about the "bloody awful weather". Dear me.
