First of all you didn't let us know which medical insurance you have and all that it involves as far as coverage...so, there's no way any of us could answer this question for you. We can only tell you this: call your insurance company and find out if the abdominal plasty will be covered. The c-section probably will be.
Remember, medical coverage is all a word game. Depending on how the doctor writes the reason for the plasty, may depend on if it gets covered or not.

The answer is probably not, but call your insurance company.

Ask your OB. I know some Ob/Gyns who will do the procedure as part of the C/S. We know we may not get reimbursed, but the additional charge for any secondary procedures is minimal. This is because our primary charge is for the c-section. We get paid about $440 for a c/s, if we do a tubal ligation at the same time, we get an extra $41. This is a situation of a "bundled procedure", where the main surgery(C/S), makes up most of the charge. Every additional procedure gets us much less money. So the Ob/Gyn may just give you a freebie for that.

If however, you bring in a plastic or general surgeon to do the case, they will expect to be fully reimbursed. Therefore, the cost goes up significantly as you are bringing in a specialist for a specific reason.

Probably not. According to the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, abdominoplasty is sometimes covered if there is a hernia--and then, it only covers the portion of the surgery that is not cosmetic.

A c-section is major surgery and should be covered.

Better to call your insurance company and ask them. All insurance companies seem to be different.
