I want to eat cookie dough and was wondering if it would be safer to use organic eggs. Is there any differance?

Make sure the dough is cooked before you eat it.

Organic eggs and non-organic eggs taste the same to me, but the organic ones are healthier because there aren't any added hormones which would not be good for your body. I pay a little more to buy organic eggs and milk for my children and I.

just my two cents

Organic eggs, particularly eggs that are from free-range chickens tend to be fresher and since the chickens are eating healthier food for their particular diet, the eggs they produce are better and better tasting. Since you're making cookie dough, it doesn't necessarily change how good the dough is. Besides that, cookie dough, in its raw form is really not a good idea. All eggs can contain salmonella. Even if you cook it, cookies are not considered a "health food" but if you eat a fresh, free range egg and eat an egg that is from your local grocery store, you'll notice an immediate difference from them moment you crack it, to the color of the yolk.

Never....nothing like that is proven by research. It is a misconception that hormones are given to chicken for meat and egg. That time has gone...eggs are always healthy whether made organically or conventionally unless you have a cholesterol problem. However, the thought that "I am now eating an organic chicken egg" may give you some mental satisfaction, thats all.

Salmonella, which is the bacteria of concern is not affected by how the chickens are raised. Always cook eggs before eating them.

I think if you got any kind of vegetable into you right now, that would help.
