First, for all of the "quick and easy" weight loss diet pill suggestions, remember, if something sounds too good to be true... it probably is, particularly if you have to pay for it.
On Yahoo!Answers I find certain questions being asked repeatedly which is simply a reflection of new people participating. A couple of common questions amount to "How do I lose weight," or more specifically, "How do I lose abdominal fat?" I have gotten very positive responses from my answers when I paused to reply (and now beginning to get "It works!" emails that are very gratifying. I like helping people)... so have recently decided to put a good solid answer on my Yahoo!360 Blog (September 10) that I can point people to. These are my thoughts as a physician and athlete.
Don't target losing more than about 2 lbs per week. If you try to lose faster, your body will go into "starvation mode" and get very stingy about burning calories while at the same time very efficient about storing any calories that you do provide. And it will make you feel awful.
There is no site specific way of losing fat... the old myth about working your abs to burn belly fat isn't true. To get rid of love handles, you need to lose overall fat. That happens with exercise and watching your diet. More on that below.
The most effective way to lose fat is aerobic exercise in the "moderate" fat-burning range, ideally first thing in the morning before you eat. When you wake your body is ready to burn fat and your levels of growth hormone are highest at that time. Later in the day it can take up to 30 minutes just to put your body into a fat-burning mode.
Another overlooked way to burn fat is by lifting weights. Skeletal muscle has very high caloric needs... almost twice that of adipose (fat) tissue. Put on a little muscle and you will burn calories all day even at rest. Be aware that skeletal muscle weighs more, so with this approach you may see your weight increasing while your body fat is melting away. Not realizing this often stresses folks who think they should be losing weight as a measure of fitness. Forget the scale, look in the mirror and you will be happy.
To lose a pound of fat, you need to eliminate about 3500 calories. You can do this by burning more with exercise or by modifying your diet to reduce intake. If you do a Google search on say, "swimming calories" you will quickly find a website with tables of calories burned for a given exercise. You can use such lists to estimate how many calories you are burning up with your routine.
For diet, keep a diary for a couple of weeks counting calories, grams of protein, and grams of fat intake. It is easy with online sources of nutritional information (type the name of the food and calories into the Google search engine) and packaging labels. That will let you quickly figure out where the fat is coming from in your diet.
Fat gives you 9 calories per gram. So take the number of grams of fat, multiply by 9, then calculate what percentage the fat calories are of your total daily calories. Restricting the calories from fat to about 20% of your total intake is ideal for a maintenance diet... that isn't overly restrictive. Of note, you need some fat in your diet. For instance, the body uses fat to produce hormones. Once you have a picture of how to modify your diet, you can drop the diary and just go back to it occasionally if you are wanting to tweek things further.
There is a subset of questions that goes further and asks about "How to get a six-pack?" The answer is the same. Six-packs are 20% abdominal exercise and 80% diet. There is one caveat... abdominal muscles will form in the position that you work them, so be certain to pull them tightly toward your spine while doing crunches, etc. Also, during most lifting, the "core is active" which means that you should be stabilizing with contracted abs then too. Fail to do this and the abs will form, but bulging outward and the result is not attractive.
If you are trying to build muscle as a way to lose fat, then you may need to increase total calories and specifically your protein intake. I target about 0.8 g of protein per pound of body weight each day when actively building. That is far more protein than most people need in their diets.

Hi, You are only 14 years old. You should not be too worried about your weight especially because you weigh only 43 kilos. Maybe what you actually mean here is you want to tone down. Many people are very thinn but may have a lot of bone weight. Weight isn't really an issue. Do NOT Diet. just control your food quantity. Don't over-eat. Always try to eat a little less than what makes you FULL. You should exercise. By exercise I mean, play a sport or something. You are young and you will enjoy it. Eat healthy food and make sure you add some physical activity to your daily routine. That should do the job :)

Change the way you talk to yourself; think in the positive and take away the "if onlys" and replace it with "when I" . Don't share this information with everyone, that takes your power away and then you feel you owe the world an explanation whenever you make a food choice.
Okay, take in less calories than you do now and try to get away from the starch and carbs, you know really. There is no magic, but the magic that is is that your body is a miracle and when you start doing the right things it will blow you out of the water at how quick the weight will drop.
Do drink 8 glasses of water a day (at least)don't over do it and spread it out through the day, this cleans out the impurities in your system and kicks up your metabolism. If possible, get your little self out and walk, if you can't do that, park far from stores so you have a bit to walk or chose stairs instead of the elevator, do anything you can think of to move your bod and help kick up your metabolic rate.
You will have an amazing happy ending/beginning.

Well I'm going to give it to you straight, Stop eating so much food at on time. You know heaping piles of food on a little tiny plate. Its a known fact that fitness trainers, Diet specialists, and all the ppl that in that line of work. Say that you can eat at least 6 times a day but very portioned. something small your normal eating habits but just toned down a bit. Maybe you don't eat allot, if you eat candy once a week, if you drink soda once every two weeks, if you drink alcohol a six pack once every two months. etc..... I've been where you are and not short of it. Ive done it all and even some of my own remades But EXERCISE is the knocker this is where you can do the most loose so much weight. Running, Jump roping, stair climbing, punching the heavy bag, rubber band training, there's so much i could mention but you should get it by now . just keep it up if you are doing all of theses things

Hi,
I've tried all different diets, and the weight loss is only temporary. I finally tried diet pills on the market are made from Hoodia. I saw this stuff on ABC News. It's all natural and safe, and it works! My wife took it for a month and dropped 20 pounds. I took it for a month and lost about 13 (but I didn't exercise).
I bought the natural hoodia from this website: http://www.alllsite.info/free-diet-pills.php . I checked the web site address so I can post it here and I saw they're running a promotion now to get a free 2 week sample for only $4.97! I'm going to order this supply for my wife and give it to her for Christmas =)

pick up a 5 or 10 pound weight at the gym and visualize that weight coming off holding the weight in your hands helps bring home just how heavy even 5 pounds of extra fat can be

You might think about trying this book called "The Movie Star Diet" by Steve Simmons. It helped me lose thirty pounds in 2 1/2 months when I didn't think anything would work. My goal to begin with was only 20 lbs! It has a really easy plan to follow and an excellent workout as well.

eating lots of snacks...healthy ones...like an apple between your meal....i know this is exactly the opposite of the myth....but it has been proven that if you eat between your meals (of course dont start eating chocolate cnadies, etc)...it will reduce your appetite so you will eat less...
drink a lot of water...
check the calories intake you have....because sometimes we think we are eating healthier by either veggies and too much salad dressing but it might have more calories than something less healthy...
go to oprah's website...theyve talked a lot about diet
and the one i keep hearing is:
you MUST HAVE A PRECISE GOAL...like fitting in this dress or pants you have that you cant fit in anymore...and give yourself a deadline to attain your goal....if you dont have a precise goal...its easy to end up cheating the diet and your plants.....
you can do it! =)

make sure you get all the food groups in the pyramid. don't try to eat less, just try to eat more healthy food and follow the food pyramid. and make sure you get at least 30 mins of exercise everyday. make sure you incorporate aerobic, weight training, and flexibility exercises into your workout plan. and don't forget to drink plenty of water. with that, you should lose weight. for diets, i highly recommend salads.
oh yeah.... eat breakfast. it prevents you from overeating, and fuels your metabolism so you lose weight faster.
