For anyone who has or is studying japanese, are there any helpful hints on learning this easier? I can get the characters down I know all of the hiragana so far but...sentence structure and memorizing vocabulary its hard...its my 3rd language and im struggling but I want to learn. Any helpful ideas would help thank you

Honestly, it's hard to find shortcuts for learning a new language. I think it's really all about practice. The more practice you get, the easier it'll become. Practice mentally translating the names of objects you interact with into Japanese as you see them. Also practice your sentences whenever possible. Try to get some of your friends learning, too, so that you can practice with them. Get them interested with, say, one sentence per day and then you can start having basic conversations. Good luck! I know Japanese isn't the easiest language to learn.

Watch Japanese cartoons for kids on tv. It makes the language so easy. Sure helps if you're over there as well.

try finding someone to speak with preferably a native speaker... it may make it easier to pick up the vocab... or you could write labels for objects in Japanese. it may help you to connect the word with the objects rather than just saying the word when your trying to memorize it.
