I'm assuming we're talking Portia from Merchant of Venice and Desdemona from Iago, right?
I'm not actually going to do your homework for you (I'm a high school senior, I have enough of my own) but I'll try to lay out a path for you to start down.
The question is asking what would be different if Portia and Desdemona switched places, so the first thing you're going to want to do is to compare the two characters. Write down both of their names on a piece of paper, and under each one, make a list of their character traits (e.g. Portia is intelligent and unconventional). When you're done with that, try to find the similarities and differences between the two - the differences should give you a good place to start. How would Portia react in Desdemona's position? How would Desdemona react in Portia's?
