OH MY GOD.... no.

Here's the thing: If you are in a successful relationship with someone and neither of you are "attracted" to anyone other member the opposite gender you are CRAZY and LYING TO YOURSELVES!!!! There have been recent reports in social psychology focusing on the effects of intimate relationships on personal growth and brain development. (Macleans magazine October, 2006) This very question was posed to psychologists with respect to expectations and couple dynamics and have deemed it "unhealthy and unnatural" to not have exposure to other people of the opposite sex. People are socially drawn to persons of particular aesthic appeal, and we all know what such an appeal would be. To deny attraction to other people in the most SUPERFICIAL sense is to only reinforce social norms and what we come to define as beautiful. In order for someone to feel socially well rounded and happy, interaction and the possible feelings of attraction to a whole number of people around you is important. He will come home to you in a great mood after meeting nice people (including women that may be attractive) and feel like he really communicated with the world. If he feels like he can't speak to any woman but you he will socially withdraw, which is poor for social growth, and this will have negative effects on his self esteem and happiness (not to mention your relationship). We are a product of our social surroundings and unless one can escape this kind of consumeristic society with built in norms and values, it will be false to claim that one is NOT attracted to the IMAGE of Charlize Theron or Catherine Zeta-Jones, but FULL ATTRACTION is what your signifcant other does not have with the movie star or the cute girl on the bus. Wanting to have sex with someone else is one thing, that is a natural instinct of the beast and THAT will never go away...but wanting to make love to someone and have a relationship with them is a completely different thing. You've got the best of both worlds with him and that's why you're together! Remember, trust equals freedom equals stronger bonds... he'll know when he's in the wrong, but show him that you trust him and he'll love you more for that. Enjoy :)

I don't think its anything to be really worried about. Most people have an unrealistic attraction for a celebrity or someone of that stature. It could always just be a faze that they're going through. anyway I wouldn't fret over it too much unless you notice him projecting this lust on to someone else more realistic for him to hook up with.

i couldnt care less. anyone who would think twice about a partners attraction for a celebrity needs to get a bloody hobby.

(this doesnt include weird stalker obsession)
