I am the EXACT same way. I am 19 and looking for MR. RIGHT. Sister bitches at me cuz I am so picky but I have had enough boyfriend most short term I want a long term that is my problem. If I wanted something I knew would not last I would have settled. Here is what you need to do. Try HARD to not look at the bad stuff. Try looking at the POSITIVES. I am working on this situation myself and I know it is not easy. Expecially when you have some(my sister) breathig down you back when you judge a guy. Give it time. You will find someone. You sound intellegent. You understand good and well that no one is perfect. I think the real problem may lie in whether or not you want a relationship. Why else would you be making excuses for why someone couldn't be your prince charming. Ask yourself what YOU want out of a relationship, and find the guy that would best fufill those needs. Well, it's good to be choosy about who you are in a relationship with...but if EVERY guy you meet or come into contact with, has a problem in your eyes...then maybe you are the one that has the problem. You are going to have to just be open to different kinds of guys. Don't be set on one "type" because you never know, that very nerd you are overlooking, might just be Mr. Right. Try not to get stuck on any one type of guy; leave yourself open to exploring different options, and I bet you will meet the one for you.

What do you want in a boyfriend? Ideally your companion should
be the opposite sex version of you in terms of looks, opinion,
interests, dislikes/likes, and whatever. If you can't honestly answer what you want, or you don't know what you want, how is any guy to satisfy your requirements. You have to determine what you are like, and then you can find a guy who matches your
personality, or at least complements you.

well for being perfectionist you are probably a hottie...aren't you? of course it could be the opposite but I doubt it. Don't worry about that, you will find someone that is also a perfectionist and will see that you're the perfect girl for him, although he doesn't think you're perfect after all his brains works like yours =)
