Do you think there is such a thing as the Christian Culture or The Muslim Culture, Or the Pagan culture?

Reasoning behind my question:
I don't because we all come from different cultures the only thing we might share with other people is religion, but that is not culture at all..... I am a proud American and often I hear comments like your people blablbla in the middle east and I say what I wear a headscraf and suddenly I am middle eastern? The fact that you are chrstian does not say that you do practices like burrying a saint on his head to sell a house (Those are local practices of a community and can not be confused with what the religion says) Do you agree?

I believe in the Human Culture - unfortunately the world will always see our differences in the form of religion.

I don't think there is a specific culture for a specific religion, however, there is somewhat of a culture within certain religions. Take Mormonism for instance. The cultural base to that particular religion is very strong, and the same for all members of the church, with the acception of the over the top cult type groups that marry kids, etc. They are not the example of the general religion.

Muslim, from the outside, may seem like a culture, however, inside, there are many sub cultures.

Society has a way of seeing things very black and white, and boxing people into they're way of seeing a religion, which likely is not factual for the way that religion really is.

I would tend to agree with you. There are cultural influences within certain religions, but I don't think it's a clear cut culture for each religion.

I agree with you. When I lived in the US I was considered middle eastern. I was told to go home on many occasions.

Islam is not a culture but a complete way of life. In fact many middle eastern put way to much culture in to the religion. Living in Egypt now I see that. I am constantly saying I will not take part in some of these acts of culture because they are not part of Islam. For example having belly dancers at weddings. Completely haram, but many Muslims do this as it is culture.

We must follow our religion not our culture.

There are many countries and many religions. The culture of a person comes from the customs and practices of his people with whom he lives---no matter what the country or religion is.

This is another thing about your comment above----------why do most people think of Islam as Arabs? The Arabs are just a few of the world-wide community of Islam. People need to learn more.

Added note: I am so glad I do not have all the hate inside of me that Inat does. It must be an awful feeling.

Within a culture, there are sub-cultures. Different religions create their own rituals and sub-cultures. This is absolutely okay. They share and spend their time with like minded people. This does not mean they are doing "devilish" things or making "human sacrifices"; it only means that it is comforting, validating and a feeling of fellowship and belonging when you are with others who share your belief system.

Islam is a way of life...others religions work more like symbols of racial or social identiy...coz they are not actually very involved in going to church or studying Bible or Torah.

Yes.
The Muslim culture is obviously the culture of death, as it is the only religion which actively supports mass murder by training suicide bombers.
