Stay out of the sun/tanning beds. Especially during peak hours. If you must be outside, wear sunscreen; apply as directed. Don't forget to wear a hat, and eyeglasses...Skin cancer can metastisis ANYWHERE in the body. There are clothing products made specifically for the sun. Check on-line.

Check your skin/moles regualarily. If you notice anything different: discoloration, bleeding, itching, swelling, growth...see a dermatologist immediately. Have all of your moles checked regularily. If your family has a history of skin cancer, or you are fair skinned, burn easily, and have light colored eyes, you are prone. Make sure to check all areas of you body, including your scalp, feet, and hands. Any new growths as well need to be checked by Dermatologist.

1.Avoid excessive exposure to sunlight.
2.Use sunscreen with adequate SPF >10, also use umbrellas, hats etc.
3.Check any moles or coloured areas of your skin regularly for growth, change in behaviour etc.

number one...avoid exposure to sunlight. take vitamin D food supliments. avoid chemicals that irritate the skin.
