Find a burner that burns large cds! You will probably be payin a few grand for it not to mention a bundle for a blank cd specially designed for this!! They make them but not for the general public unless you have some fat cash!
Willian B is full of it too! My dual layer DVD can hold up to 8 gigs!

What are you talking about? A CD has 700MB of storage. A DVD has 4.7GB (4700GB). You want to burn a 30,000MB CD? It would never happen. You can't even burn 3000GB DVD's.

If you want to span data across discs, read the manual for your burning software.

Edit: If you're talking about what the news reports have been saying, they refer to using a laser to focus data on a disc the SIZE of a CD-R. It definately won't be compatible with ANY of the burners available now and will probably be a completely different format alltogether.

CD burning software can often split whatever you're burning onto multiple CDs, but you'll need a lot of CDs! A CD can hold only about 700MB. Try compressing the data first.

Huh? 3 terabytes.. are they saved on a spool tape? Is it a single programe/ piece of data or countless files.. unless you give this info, it will be difficult to help.. as far as i can see, your only option is to split the file into smaller pieces (of 700mb or 800mb) (span-splitting) and burning them into so many cd's

CDs cannot hold that much. In fact a CD cannot hold even one gigabyte. It can only hold about 700 MB.

The question was specifically about CDs, not DVDs.

A CD can maximally hold ap. 800MB. That's why the DVD was invented. Although I heard some types of DVDs which can hold like 100GB
