I am 48, and have all these women from everywhere calling me and IMing me, and that includes the ex. Well, she just wants money, but the others want me to marry them, or just hang out, and I frankly don't have enough time to handle this situation. WTF??

Congratulations. It seems you are very popular. Now you need to be a little more selective when giving out your phone # and IM address.
In the last 20 years women have gotten a little bolder. They realize that sitting back and waiting for the guy to call them is no longer an option (for most men). They also know that they need to get their foot in the door early if they want to date an eligible man.
You need to have some simple questions to help you sort out the women you may be interested in from the rest of the herd. As you talk to them make a mental note about the way the respond to your questions. This should help you narrow down the number of women who are competing for your time.
By the way, my man did the calling, IMing, and pursuing in our relationship. One of his reasons for pursuing me was that I never asked him about his job and how much money he earned.

Even though i am female i have the same problem, now that you are back on the market, ppl think u want to date or even more. Its weird. I just tell them i dont need anyone right now, and need to be left alone.
