If I'm making sandwiches in a regular day I have to say yes, usually I go for what I have in the fridge. If the occasion is a special get together with some friends I go all out and buy all kind of stuff so we can have a sandwich station where they can get what they want.
ex: different kinds of lettuces, onions, olives, mustard, sauces, mayo, cold cuts, roasted pork, chicken, bacon etc.

I makes sandwiches at home to take to work, not only because its cheaper but also because I cant buy 'my type' of sandwich.
My fav' is tuna mixed with vinegar, lots of pepper, onions and topped with tomatoes!!
I stink the office out when open my package, but I dont care, people come from miles around to watch me eat my sandwiches!!

Yeah, unless I just happen to have other stuff around. I might want avacado and bean sprouts on a sandwich out, but I'm too lazy to buy that stuff and try to use it up, since I'm the only one in the house who'll eat it.

No. We make hot sandwiches with sourdough or french bread and deli meats like Genoa and cheese like Munster or provolone. I like to add fresh garlic, onion, bell pepper all grilled in olive oil. My sandwiches are much more creative at home. Serve with soup or dipping sauces.

Freshly made sandwiches are more delicious than the ones in most shops.

A cucumber lettuce tomato sandwich with salad cream is king of the butties for me.

It depends whether I've been shopping or not :) I tend to have a lot of sauces, spreads and 'flavourings' around, so as long as I have the main bulky ingredients, I can flavour it up quite easily :)
