I must admit I'm getting on a bit. But i am learning welly dancing, which is almost the same as Belly dancing but you have jelly filled wellies and you have to wear a reinforced corset. I have also got 2 courses on the go. One through work and one at night school. And I'm thinking of starting another one. I AM FICK THOUGH, but that was in the first place and not cos of age.

I think we should all go ahead and do it, what ever it is we have to learn. And if we fail, well that don't matter cos at least we tried. I waited to long really. But that was mostly dosh and self confidence xx

There is no age limit on learning, I'm 57 and I've owned a computer of one kind or another since 1979(16kb memory, black and white graphics at low resolution(120x48 pixels)), and I'm still learning new things about computers. The latest "new thing" I'm learning from is Google Earth, I'm amazed at what you can find on there. You learn something new everyday of your life, things you didn't know before. It may happen as a result of reading about something in a newspaper or magazine article, and you're intrigued enough to learn more about it, either from the Internet or finding books on the subject.

Learning should not stop when you leave school. Keep on learning and you will be able to amaze your kids who thinks oldies don't know anything!

No, definitely not. One should always be open to new experiences & ideas. As one grows older it perhaps becomes more difficult to learn; one needs to keep one's brain exercised. 'Use it or lose it.' Life would become so boring if there was nothing to learn or if one wasn't able to learn. Many senior citizens achieve great things in their golden years.

Yes, if you want to play piano the day after you lost all your fingers and toes that's a bit too late.
