No, they don't taste like other pastas if made correctly; they're made with a potato dough and should be light and fluffy...like little clouds! It's an art to making them, though, because many places overwork the dough, so they end up like tough lumps of nothingness...They should almost melt in your mouth when you eat them...I like mine with just a bit of butter and garlic or a light marinara sauce....Yummy!

No, gnocchi is made out of potato and flour. So plain i would think it kinda tastes likebland mashed potatoes. but with the right sauce, it is excellent

I think in many ways is like other pastas except that since is made out of boiled potatoes is kind of spongy and soft, and in my opinion it does absorbs the sauces better. If you have not had it yet, do so, it is delicious.

It's a flour and potato based pasta. They're good! I like mine with either alfredo or pesto.
