i want to buy a Ford mustang and modify the engine with performance parts, etc. i heard somewhere that the '89-'91 are good to modify because of the engine parts are forged, not cast or something like that. is this true? please clarify.

If you arent the most competent mechanic I would find a 87-93 Mustang with a 302 in it. I find them much simpler to work on than a late model with a mod motor 4.6 in it. And the off the shelf parts for fox chassis is outstanding.

All ford mustangs are fairly easy to modify and have plenty of aftermarket parts available! It's up to you which body style you like the best.

I have a 97 mustang gt convertable, i think they have so much aftermarket parts for my car. I have it lowered 2''inch down, i got the h-pipe with the flowmaster, got a chip, intake, pulley, supercharger, etc, etc. MAN i think in my opinion mustangs from 95-99 is the best years. Hey man good luck!
