It says that the devil will be tormented in there forever. As far as those whose names aren't found in the books of life and are thrown in there, I would guess, that is the second death & permanent.

My hope is that everyones names are still in the books of life, including yours.

First of all, lake of fire is a self contradiction. Secound, what kind of sick person would think everyone that hasnt been exposed to your "correct" religeon gets tortured for all eternity?? What about the millions of people in africa living in isolated jungles? Do they get tortured as well because they didnt get trapped into the same brainwashing, moneysucking BUSINESS called christianity? Word of advice, stop wasting your life and your paycheck to pay for ignorance.

I believe yes,
First of all the lake of fire was not created for unbelievers but for Satan and his fallen angels.
Second of all you will notice in the following passage NKJV Revelation 21:8 "But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death." that it states burns with fire and brimstone, why would the Bible specifially state burn if it really wasn't going to?

Also, please look at the following scripture NKJV Revelation 20:10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever." Why would they be tormented unless they were in constant pain from the burning?

Thanks for listening!

to go to heaven or hell the physical body is shed. There is no physical body; thus, there can no longer be pain. After death we are no longer temporal creatures...we are spirit outside of time; thus, eternity has no meaning. Furthermore, we cannot know what heaven or hell would be because we cannot know the end...even though the Bible describes it (from the point of view of a man)...we cannot know the beginning or the end because our physical body is in the middle.

I guess the whole argument is moot.

Where do bad folks go when they die
They don't go to heaven where the angels fly
Go to a lake of fire and fry
Don't see them again 'till the Fourth of July

if you enter the lake of fire as a non physical being ... you would be lucky if you felt anything at all
since we need the physical aspects to actually burn

There is no physical torture after death--it will all be mental. That is the worse kind.

The only torture is the one you feel there is.

Read Revelation 21:8 tonight.
Eternity is more than just a longggggggggggggg time!!!
I would not preach to others IF hell was not real.
that is, the love of God, is understood by his sacrifice.
the question is.......WHY THE SACRIFICE?
IT IS BECAUSE HELL IS REAL.
