I can't seem to stop coughing...My throat is very dry and scratchy and I have larangytis. I'm taking robatussin, using cough drops and drinking a lot of fluids and nothing seems to work. Help!!

I had a cough like that one time. I used vicks 44. It was the only way I could sleep at night. You could also try Nyquil. If the cough persists you should go to the doctor. It could be bronchitis and you may need a round of antibiotics.

Get a bottle of olive leaf extract at Wal Mart or GNC. Take 3 to 5 capsules at least 3 times a day. Continue for several days after your symptoms are gone.

My own personaly experience is that same thing and I end up seeing the doctor and getting medicine that calms the cough while the antibiotic in it, wipes out the infection or bacteria that is causing it. Phenegren&codene is what they give me.
It works. I spelled the Phenegren like it sounds, don't know if it's proper spelling.

Do you smoke? stop. Follow most of the advice here. Gargle with warm salt water to sooth the throat. Use Halls or something like it. Watch for a recurrence.
