At Rev. 19:20, the lake of fire is no more a real lake than is the wild beast a real animal. The lake of fire means complete destruction. When someone is "thrown" into that symbolic lake, it simply means he will wiped out of existence with no chance of a resurrection.

*IF THIS WAS NOT TRUE.....PREACHING THE WORD OF GOD, WOULD NOT MATTER.
YOU SEE.....JESUS BELIEVED IN THE LAKE OF FIRE SO MUCH THAT-HE DIED SO WE WOULD HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO NOT GO THERE.
THINK ABOUT IT...HE WROTE THE BOOK, BUT ALSO MADE A WAY OF ESCAPE. THAT IS LOGICAL.

The lake of fire is simply the fact that you will remember and everyone will see your bad deeds--forever.
The only way to get them blotted out and forgotten is through a savior--Jesus Christ.

It depends on what one wants to see. If one feels its time to see somthing else, then they do so. Untill one does, there is no movement, unless one wishes to.
