It depends on how severe the problem is but yes, in moderate cases they can be simply filed down. If they are beyond what a dentist would consider safe for such a procedure there is always the option of having them filled and then capped, more expensive to be sure but that's a call only you can make. You can go to your dentist, and ask to be referred to an orthodontist.
I had fangs too...an orthodontist fixed them with braces and filing them down a bit. They look normal now, and I am told I have a nice smile.

Sometimes in a mild or moderate case this can be corrected with a retainer. Depends on how much they need to move. You would have to be willing to wear the retainer most of the time, but the more you wear it the faster it works.

Yes- the will most likely file them down and perhaps cap them as well.

yes a dentist will deaden your mouth and take a small grinder and file them down for you. [about 30 minutes]/ or you can have them pulled whichever one you want.
