in the animal Kingdom - Gorrillas for example put on a big display and pound thier chests to control and lead the other Gorrillas - when it comes to woman... are tears and displaying excessive emotions just such a display to lead the male in a certain direction....
Much like the angry fist pounding swearing tantrums that males sometimes show?
should the male let himself be lead?

Can't give you an answer but some thoughts...
Maybe it's come about from being lead by males for so long? From the constant chest beating etc?
I don't really know if it actually leads the male in that more often than not, men seem confused as to what to do, why she's doing it and why such a carry on.. Crying maybe a way of getting rid of others around you because when someone cries, let's face it, all of us, male and female would really rather not be there at that moment.
Sometimes it just feels good.
But... YES the male should ALWAYS let himself be lead.. if he's a clever gorilla.

ooh, that's a tough question! if it is about control, it is subconcious i think, at least for me. but i can't say i don't cry to get my point across, but it's only because i am so frustrated that he doesn't see how upset i am, and i don't know what else to do because i am hurt. i think that's the same with the angry male tantrum, they are just frustrated and need to show how much something really means to them and get our attention.
but gorillas do the chest thing to intimidate, so very different...
as far as the male letting himself be led...if he wants the company of his woman, he better!!! ;)

Some girls do that for attention, some girls are sincere and don't do it for power like I think you're saying... As long as you know the person that you're dealing with you should know how to handle them and how if they're truthful or not for the most part.
As far as being lead goes, you only do what you want to do and if you think helping someone is being lead than you're being lead. If you think the chick that's crying is faking it and you go over anyway and feel like you're being lead than you're being lead.

When girls cry it can either mean they are hurting or they feel pain or want to be comforted or something that they need. When we cry we are showing our emotions and we need to be able to do that because we are sad happy overjoyed or something that makes us feel in a way that we feel its alright to cry.

It just means they are sad, upset, etc. There's very little reasoning difference between women crying and men crying.
