MRCP= Member of thr Royal College of Physicians. There is actually MRCP I and MRCP II. This means the doctor has completed a residency in a specialty, and passed an exam allowing him/her to practice in that specialty (we call it "board certified" in the US).
FRCP= Fellow of the Royal College of Phsicians. This means the doctor has finished at least one year of post-specialty research (after completing the residency requirement and successful board certification) and has published findings in a professional journal. The doctor must have the MRCP II to get a fellowship.
In the US, a post-doctoral fellow does research after qualifying by passing board exams and completing a residency in the area of specialization. For example, a doc who has completed residency and post-doctoral fellowshop in gynecology is known as John Doe, MD, FACOG, or Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
By the way, the test the other answerer meant was an ERCP, which is an endoscopic exam of the esophagus, stomach, gallbladder, bile duct, and duodenum.

I have never heard of an FRCP, are you sure you have it right?
The MRCP is an MRI of the abdomen that focus on the the gallbladder, the bile duct, the liver and the hepatic ducts, the pancreas. It does measurements of the organs and checks for stones, tumors, abnormalities and whatnot. I've had 2 of them done and they are a pain in the butt because you can't have any pain meds for 24 before going for one and you have to lie completely still in there for so long. But it gives the doctors a great picture of the biliary tract, its a lot clearer than a CT scan.
