We have quiet neighbors, and we are quiet. Good fences make good nieghbors. We borrow a cup of sugar, they borrow a couple eggs...it all evens out.
I live here, my house investment is here. My friends are my friends, and should drama break out (which is a rare thing) I don't have to deal with it day in and day out.

Yes, this morning, Sunday, I was awakened by hysterical screams, thought I 'd best check it out, but I recognized the voice, it was the daughter. They have told me the husband is retired, twice, then told me he has been working where I do for 5 years. She told me she could not visit with me any more, then did. Did not call to me, or say hello, went inside when I was outside. No explanation. The kid has been busted for stealing from her parents, and stealing a car, then trashing the car. They have dogs, never walk them, and other people live with them who are not related. There is always somebody yelling or screaming over there. Cars and people come and go all hours of the day and night, and not to get to work. Thank fully, the rest of the block is quiet.
The other weird neighbor is gone. We started having a problem with gofers tearing up the yards, and he offered to go get his shotgun and take care of them for me. Asked me if he could go down to my Dad's house and shoot them there. Dad said no, me too. We live in the city, by the way.
My weird neighbor thinks the house behind me is weird. They have grown all kinds of vegetation around the fence in the yard, they say they like their privacy. But they do not maintain it, and it looks awful. My suggestion, buy curtains! They do not have any. I can see straight into the dining room at night, and I do not want to, thanks.

They don't live next door to me, but rather down the street on the corner. However, they- a couple, a daughter, and their two sons- fight almost every night. I have even seen cop cars at their house, and have heard them cussing at each other from my room. I'm just waiting for one or more of them to get hauled off in handcuffs.

I and my family are the weird neighbors and we aren't going anywhere. We owned this place before anyone else built around here. We are dug in. There is a real freedom in being the weird ones.

HAAAAAA!!! If this was a contest we might win! We had a self-proclaimed spiritualist next door who would have "clients" in and out 24 hrs. a day, I half expected to see her on a flying carpet. She wasn't someone you could say good morning to; one time I did when she was picking up her paper and she turned and faced her car waiting for me to go in. She used to stand up on our fence and watch in our backyard....I guess that isn't really too bad, she could have been a Whack that kills folks.

I'm quiet, and so are my neighbors, so that's cool. There was one very noisy neighbor, but he moved out.
