I have always wanted a Breitling, super cool and rare because of the price. Also, not common like a Tag or Rolex

Go all out and buy the man a Rolex. They are classy but that might be a little more than 3000 pounds.Do you have a Wal-Mart there? How much does 3000 pounds convert to in dollars?

Not trendy (yet) but take a look at IWI Watches, very nice classic design by an up and coming English watchmaker, (who was once a neighbour) and great value at only £1250!

its not the money its the style of the watch is important, i have a Raymond Weil which i only wear now and again. around £800.
but i have to agree with the person above if your going to buy a good watch theres many out there its going to be BREITLING a class of its own.
