sorry that this isn't an answer, just a response to Ernest77;
your answer is so flawed it's unbelievable; first, the sources:
googling "Lecompte de Nouy" returns less hits than googling my own full name. number one is "sermons.org". The rest of the first page is largely about him having helped fix a church once. There is no article on him in any encyclopedia that I could find, and thus i seriously doubt that he's the one and only person who has ever successfully worked out the probability of the atomic interactions he tries to explain.
Then there's Fred Hoyle; the most-loved scientist of christianity, even though he was an atheist. He IS famous and he DID say that the big bang didn't happen. However the REASON he's famous is that he had an alternative theory, "steady state theory", which has since been widely discredited. Even HE didn't think that a man on a cloud made the universe.
As for all the bible quotes, why do you put those forward as reliable sources when you reject the best of scientific research if you can find a quote from one crank that disagrees with it?

The big bang is what some see, when they ask "whom/what created the universe" The fact that they See or calculate the existance of the Big Bang (or any begining of the universe), prooves that God does exist.
For We all live in the moment of Now. What ever we see in Now is what we experience Now. Though the moments pass, and we move on to seeing somthing else, doesn't take away the physical proof that we experienced what we saw a moment ago.
So what we See , is what we experience. What we experience is what we do. Leaving an impression on the physical world. Like a footprint left from a foot step.
What we see is what we want to see. What happens in the next moment is up to us. On what we want to see. And the proof will remain for eternity. Small or big. Seen by others or not.
It takes One to see, in order to create the moment s which are left behind.
"god created man in his image"
God wanted to See a universe, so he did , and so doing, as He did, the proof left behind, is the Big Bang, or any other left behind from those moments of his Sight.

We (christian friend & I) prayed and asked God and understanding came to our minds.
God Spoke... When I have heard anointed speakers speak in the Power of the Holy Spirit, It is felt inside. So, how awsome it would be to hear God speak in the beginning. He spoke with faith filled Words and creation happened.
So those Words could have sounded like a trumpet or a big bang. It wasn't a big fart anyway.
So, the Lord let us know that there was a big-bang in a Spoken Word sort of way.

Evolutionary Track
Aside from the occasional trysts with fate and the serendipitous encounters with fortune, I'd say that I have stayed pretty much on the same path as most humans. It seems that my destiny may be aligned with that of most mortals, who by the way, during my latest journey, I had learned much from. What I hope they have learned from me is the sanctity of Love, Understanding, Good Will and of course, the most difficult for those of flesh and blood - Forgiveness.
As it is with most of my stays here, I'm not in the position to criticize nor challenge although what I see at times provides me impetus to offer what I'd been given - Reason. Just as I had written not so long ago:
I have Reason, I have Rhyme
Pondering my thoughts,
Throughout the eons of time
Many times we are posed a question, so simple yet the most difficult to answer: Why am I here? Ah, because you belong. Simple enough an answer and it really needs no further explanation . . .
You know, I rely on you as much as you rely on me and the symbiotic nature of our relationship provides the universe with balance, although at times, it may not appear to be so . . .
Life to me, an open book
with each page, I learn something new
Yet, I await the final
the most revealing clue
Perhaps, when our fates are decided, would we learn the truth . . . eternity it beckons, so I had heard as I stood sentry-like against the winds of time . . .
Far in the distance, perhaps another void
a place where my existence
can never be destroyed

The Universe probably didn´t originate in a Big Bang and most certainly wasn´t created. Check the latest theories... we´re getting there.

Completely contradictory.
The Big Bang theory suggests that everything was suddenly created out of nothing.

The idea of the big bang ousts the God of the bible. If you want to make up another god you are welcome to but it's not the true God. By the way, the big bang never happened

Compliment,....because to create big bang u need INDEFINITE ENERGY.....which not came from this universe.
Well,....not only big bang,...its compliment also to STRING THEORY,..that stated that we have 11 dimensions.
Whatever theories come out,..its just TRY TO EXPLAIN HOW GOD CREATE THIS UNIVERSE.

It's a theory we have to give us an understanding of how God kickstarted the creation.
