i have had many dogs, and have six at the present time, i have had two pit bulls, fighting is for dominance, it is a natural thing, they will not really hurt each other, pit bulls are only mean as people think if they are tought to be, mine were sweethearts, dont teach them to be mean, let them decide on dominance and they will be great babies

Hi it is not uncommon for terriers even litter brothers & sister to fight to the death...I have never had that problem when I had russells but I have known that it can happen...I guess if they are fighting at this young age that you have a serious aggression problem going on with your dogs & they haven't reached maturty & I have to say that this can only be a bad thing as aggression should not be seen in such young dogs..I would say one needs to go & the aggression need to be dealt with & should be the paramount concern...
If you sell or pass on the other puppy you should stress to the new owners that there is an aggression issue & not be neglegent & not say anything as some people have other dogs & also children...Never neglect to say when there is a problem wit aggression...Regards Jake

These are dominate type dogs, that can become very dog aggressive... especially with the same gender. If they are already getting to rough... yes.. SEPARATE. Socialize them outside of the house as much as possible (separately), and be prepared... Training and an owner that is one step ahead of the dog is very necessary

I have a 13 week old pitt and a one year old boxer. They play rough but I just watch them if they get to rough I step in. U should be the dominate one in the pack. I have no fear of my pup hurting my boxer. With pitts u have to have their respect. Take control when it gets to much. Make sure they know you are the boss and everything will be fine. I would get them fixed just so u don't have inbred pups

i think they need to be seperatied since pit bulls can b very aggressive dogs. But their personality is all in the raising, if u can prevent this behavior i suggest u do.

these dogs are establishing a dominant/submissive hiearchy.---problem is if one doesn't want to be submissive.---separating dogs makes the aggression only worse---their behavior should be modified by only an experienced animal behaviorist that has worked with this breed.

At that age, what you call fighting is a puppy's idea of playing:

Growling, snarling, slamming into each other, wrestling, nipping and snapping and grabbing each other. Unless they are seriously drawing blood, it is play.

yes they do need to be separated before one kills the other. My two pitbulls almost killed each other after I left for california, my sister threw my lazboy chair on them and hit them with a pan to get them off of each other.
